It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is. But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seena star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line.
Even if you aren't a TTG! fan you'll like this movie. It makes fun of superhero movies and themselves, but it has a lesson and really means well. You really see the team's friendship in this movie and their appreciation for each other. There was a lot of dark humor only older teens and adults would get that was hilarious and it was an overall good time. I'm not that big a fan of TTG! so I was surprised to find myself laughing at the jokes. Everyone shoukd see this movie because it really is witty and there is a great story. Very creative!!!
Yet again, Robin's desperate need for attention leads them astray. And it couldn't be more of a trip. When they go back in time and try to right the wrongs of their time-meddling by shoving Mr. and Mrs. Wayne back into "Crime Alley", I lost it.<br/><br/>Plus so many poop and fart jokes. And songs. Although, the night did lack a little bit of its shininess.<br/><br/>It does make an "incredibly" similar point to the other major animated superhero movie this year, and that is: enough with the superhero movies! Unless it is the Challengers of the Unknown; bring those guys on.<br/><br/>First rate movie for kids of all ages.
The movie’s message, if it has one, is that you don’t have to be super to be a superhero. Teen Titans GO! is fun in a defiantly unsuper way, and that’s a recommendation.
